Senior Commercial Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the commercial performance of assigned project areas to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and commercial procedures
• Provide strategic commercial guidance and specialized assistance to the Project Director on contractual matters
• Interface with client representatives and senior stakeholders to present commercial updates, reports, and recommendations
• Assist in contract negotiations, amendments, and modifications to secure favorable terms
• Manage project commercial execution to ensure delivery within approved budgets and timelines
• Prepare project commercial status reports, including cost forecasts, financial projections, and schedule impacts
• Identify scope changes and variations to secure appropriate change orders
• Advise management on minimizing contractual risks and managing potential claims
• Manage the review and assessment of contractual claims, notices, and variation orders
• Facilitate contract close-out activities and ensure all obligations are fulfilled prior to final payment

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field
• Chartered professional qualification from a recognized body such as CIOB or RICS
• Minimum 20 years of overall experience in major infrastructure and building projects
• Minimum 10 years of commercial management experience on large-scale projects
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, claims management, and change management processes
• Extensive experience with project financial management, cost control, and commercial reporting
• Proficiency in commercial and reporting tools
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• GCC project experience
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex commercial issues simultaneously
