Senior Commercial Finance Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as the financial co-pilot to the UK Business Unit Director, leading budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
• Provide actionable insights on Volume, Net Sales Value, and Gross Profit, including promotional activity and ROI of investments.
• Support and challenge commercial teams regarding pricing, discounts, trade spend effectiveness, and rebate management.
• Identify and communicate business risks and opportunities in a timely manner.
• Drive process simplification across planning, reporting, and forecasting using tools like SAP, Power BI, and Anaplan.
• Ensure strong governance and adequacy of controls across GTN and compliance (including SOX).
• Coach and develop the finance team to foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proven track record in a finance role within a Consumer Goods (FMCG) company.
• Experience in a managerial role with a history of coaching and developing teams.
• Solid experience managing P&L, rebates, forecasting, and ROI calculations.
• Advanced expertise in MS Excel and Power BI (pivots, Vlookups, and data analytics).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into concise strategic recommendations.
• Ability to work effectively within a matrix organization and influence senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, CA, or CIMA).
• Experience within the Spirits industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
