Senior Commercial Counsel

Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and technology-related agreements, including master service agreements.
• Act as a trusted legal advisor to Sales, Business Development, Finance, and other cross-functional teams across the EMEA region.
• Provide legal guidance on matters involving commercial contracting, data security, privacy, and technology.
• Advise on deal terms, contract structures, and business initiatives by developing practical, commercial solutions.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments across EMEA and globally that may impact the business.
• Develop and deliver training on contract processes, compliance matters, and risk management.
• Improve legal processes and ways of working to support global scaling and local compliance.

Requirements

• Qualified to practice law in either Germany or France.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in-house at a technology company or within the technology practice of a leading law firm.
• Significant experience negotiating agreements governed by English and U.S. law.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Fluency in German (for Hamburg-based roles) or French (for Paris-based roles).
• Strong analytical skills and a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach to legal challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting technology, digital media, advertising technology, or privacy-related matters.
• Ability to work effectively across different cultures and jurisdictions in a highly international environment.
