Senior Coder - Profee Pulmonology (E/m & Procedure)

Responsibilities

• Transform medical diagnoses and procedures into accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Ensure daily coding volumes are completed accurately within specified turnaround times
• Maintain operational quality and productivity according to client and coding guidelines
• Meet monthly targets with a consistent accuracy rate of above 95%
• Collaborate with Team Leads and Quality Analysts through regular feedback and weekly meetings
• Work both independently and as part of a collaborative coding team

Requirements

• Life Science or Paramedical degree (Graduate or Post Graduate)
• 2-3 years of professional coding experience
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and CPT conventions, specifically for Emergency Room coding
• Expertise in Pulmonology (E/M & Procedure) and exposure to Radiology worktypes
• Strong ability to interpret complex medical records across different specialties
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
• Experience using coding software or encoders such as 3M, Trucode, or Optum
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like EPIC or Cerner
• Knowledge of multiple coding specialties including ED and Emergency Medicine (OP & IP)
