Senior Cloud Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Shape how microservices run in a performant, secure, and cost-efficient manner on AWS
• Design and roll out monitoring best practices in Datadog, including SLI, SLO, and SLAs
• Develop and maintain internal tooling for monitoring, developer portals, and load testing
• Research and implement service and storage improvements using serverless technologies
• Mentor software development teams to foster a DevOps culture through reusable building blocks
• Design and implement best practices for infrastructure auto-scaling
• Run chaos engineering experiments to improve service resilience

Requirements

• Multiple years of experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform)
• Solid experience in Monitoring, Container Orchestration, and Microservice setups
• Strong proficiency in Python and at least one other language (e.g., Java/Kotlin or Node.js)
• Deep understanding of scalable system design, distributed systems, and cloud technologies
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in an international, cross-functional environment
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with FinOps and cost optimization in cloud environments
• Knowledge of serverless architectures and distributed storage improvements
