Senior Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (Scalability)

Responsibilities

• Shape how microservices run in a performant, secure, and cost-efficient manner
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify scalability requirements for user growth and data volume
• Design and rollout monitoring best practices in Datadog, including SLI, SLO, and SLAs
• Research and develop service and storage improvements using serverless technologies
• Develop and maintain internal tooling for monitoring, developer portals, and load testing
• Mentor software development teams to foster a DevOps culture through reusable building blocks
• Implement best practices for infrastructure auto-scaling and run chaos engineering experiments

Requirements

• Multiple years of experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform)
• Solid experience in Monitoring, Container Orchestration, and Microservice setups
• Good working knowledge of Python and at least one other language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, or Node.js)
• Strong understanding of scalable system design, distributed systems, and cloud technologies
• Full professional proficiency in English
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working in international, cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GitHub Actions and Jenkins
• Experience with serverless technologies and FinOps practices
