Senior Cloud & Kubernetes Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and upgrade production Kubernetes clusters across public, private, and on-premises environments
• Lead complex cluster lifecycle activities including version upgrades, node pool changes, and capacity planning
• Serve as an escalation point for Kubernetes issues involving networking, storage, and workload failures
• Design and maintain reusable Terraform, Helm, and GitOps automation for platform deployment
• Improve CI/CD workflows using tools like Argo CD, Flux, or GitHub Actions
• Implement Kubernetes RBAC, network policies, and secrets management
• Lead troubleshooting of complex production incidents and coordinate service restoration
• Build observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki
• Mentor Kubernetes and DevOps engineers on operations and troubleshooting

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, or SRE roles
• 5+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments
• Strong experience with major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Advanced experience with Terraform, Helm, GitOps, and CI/CD automation
• Strong Linux, container runtime, and Kubernetes networking skills
• Experience leading production incident response and root cause analysis
• Ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Spectro Cloud, Rancher, EKS, AKS, or GKE
• Experience with service mesh technologies like Istio, Linkerd, or Cilium
• Experience with Kubernetes backup tools such as Velero or Kasten
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, Go, or PowerShell
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Security Specialist (CKS)
• Experience in regulated industries like healthcare or financial services
