Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Kubernetes

Responsibilities

• Own the entire EKS platform, including hardened cluster configurations, Terraform modules, and multi-region DR.
• Design and implement GPU-aware autoscaling using Karpenter across various instance families (G6e, P4d, P5, Inferentia).
• Build and maintain Terraform modules for the complete stack, including VPC, EKS, IAM, networking, and storage.
• Implement multi-tenancy through namespace isolation, resource quotas, RBAC, and network policies.
• Optimize cloud spend using Capacity Blocks, Spot instances, and KubeCost integration.
• Design robust network architectures involving VPC CNI, Transit Gateway, and private endpoints.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with AWS infrastructure (VPC, IAM, networking, multi-account).
• 3+ years of experience managing Kubernetes/EKS in a production environment.
• Expert-level proficiency with Terraform, including large module codebases and CI/CD integration.
• Hands-on experience with Karpenter or Cluster Autoscaler in production.
• Experience managing AWS GPU instances (G-series, P-series) and NVIDIA GPU operators.
• Strong security hardening skills, including Pod Security Admission, OPA/Gatekeeper, and secrets management.
• Deep understanding of Linux systems, performance tuning, and high-performance storage (EBS, EFS, FSx for Lustre).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building High-Performance Computing (HPC) clusters for AI/ML workloads.
• Familiarity with GitOps tools like ArgoCD.
• Experience with service meshes such as Istio or Calico.
• Knowledge of observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and Falco.
