Jio Tesseract is an MIT Media Lab spin-off and RIL company on a mission to democratize mixed reality in India. They develop technology for Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) oriented products such as cameras, headsets, and smart glasses.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable and robust backend services
• Integrate AI and ML models into backend systems
• Develop and maintain APIs to support various frontend clients and services
• Design and manage database schemas and queries to ensure optimal performance
• Deploy and manage services in cloud environments, ensuring high availability and scalability
• Work closely with frontend developers, data scientists, and product managers to deliver high-quality features
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions

Requirements

• Proficiency in backend programming (Node.js, Python, or JavaScript)
• Expertise in frameworks like NestJS, Express.js, or Django
• Experience with Microservices Architecture
• Proficiency in designing and maintaining RESTful and GraphQL APIs
• Strong knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
• Experience integrating AI and ML models into backend services

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Experience with AI assistants, STT, TTS, or Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization
• Frontend experience with ReactJs, Next.js, Redux, or HTML5/CSS
