Responsibilities

  • Act as the senior technical owner for the Microsoft stack, including Active Directory, Exchange Server, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 and Azure, managing hybrid identity through Entra ID and Entra Connect.
  • Own compliance and data governance tooling including eDiscovery and Microsoft Purview.
  • Manage application email enablement, including SMTP relay, OAuth 2.0, and email authentication standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
  • Handle Windows Server lifecycle work including provisioning, patching, and hardening.
  • Deploy and operate Kubernetes clusters with a focus on KubeVirt for VM workloads.
  • Automate provisioning and routine operations using PowerShell, Ansible, and Python.
  • Partner with Security, DevOps, and application teams to coordinate changes and lead incident RCAs.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in Windows systems administration with deep Active Directory and Exchange Server expertise.
  • Production experience with Exchange Server 2016/2019/SE and hybrid configurations.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience including Exchange Online.
  • Hands-on experience with eDiscovery and Microsoft Purview.
  • Proficiency in email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and SMTP relay design.
  • Azure administration fundamentals including Entra ID.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell for automation.
  • Working knowledge of Linux administration and KVM-based virtualization.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on Kubernetes cluster operations (on-prem, hybrid, or AKS).
  • Experience with Conditional Access, Intune, and Entra ID security tooling.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with OpenTofu or Terraform.
  • Networking depth including VLANs, VXLAN, and BGP.
  • Experience with physical server hardware and SAN/NAS storage.
