Senior Clinical Veterinarian

Responsibilities

• Direct the clinical care of sick and injured mice and provide bio-methods or surgical training to staff.
• Serve as a veterinary member of the Animal Care and Use Committee, participating in protocol reviews and policy writing.
• Address employee and customer concerns regarding the care, use, health, and welfare of mice.
• Collaborate with pathologists and the Biosecurity Officer to investigate unusual clinical cases or infectious diseases.
• Participate in research studies, including data analysis and reporting, in collaboration with internal research teams.
• Sign and negotiate health certificates.

Requirements

• DVM/VMD degree and a valid U.S. license to practice veterinary medicine.
• At least 3 years of experience working as a laboratory animal veterinarian.
• Ability to meet qualifications for USDA accreditation in the applicable state.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLAM board certification or eligibility in a relevant veterinary specialty.
