Senior Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high complexity laboratory testing and analyses according to standard operating procedures
• Interpret and report patient results while maintaining stringent quality control and assurance standards
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to Clinical Laboratory Scientists I and II
• Troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and processes to ensure high-quality test results
• Assist laboratory leadership with writing and reviewing procedures, documents, and forms
• Participate in the research, validation, and implementation of new laboratory technologies and procedures
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance for the designated 3rd shift schedule (Tuesday - Friday, 10p-7:30a)

Requirements

• Associate degree in laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology
• 3+ years of high complexity clinical testing experience in a clinical laboratory setting
• Demonstrated strong professionalism and leadership skills
• Intermediate level project management skills
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology
• Certification from a nationally recognized agency (such as ASCP) or equivalent state licensure
• Experience with laboratory automation and laboratory information systems (LIS)
• Experience in molecular biology techniques and principles
