Senior Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high complexity laboratory testing and analyses according to standard operating procedures
• Interpret and report patient results while maintaining stringent quality control and quality assurance standards
• Provide technical leadership by troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation and processes
• Assist laboratory leadership with advanced duties, including writing and reviewing procedures and documents
• Oversee the activities of Clinical Laboratory Scientists I and II, providing guidance and constructive feedback
• Participate in the research, validation, and implementation of new laboratory procedures and technologies
• Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal laboratory requirements and safety regulations

Requirements

• Associate degree in laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology
• 3+ years of high complexity clinical testing experience in a clinical laboratory setting
• Strong leadership, professionalism, and project management skills
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology
• Certification from a nationally recognized agency (e.g., ASCP) or equivalent state licensure
• Experience with laboratory automation and laboratory information systems (LIS)
• Experience in molecular biology techniques and principles
