About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, testing, and repairs on A/V and instructional technology systems to maximize reliability.
- Maintain, upgrade, and repair classroom technology systems and related digital/analog audiovisual equipment.
- Respond to urgent classroom incidents and coordinate timely resolutions to minimize instructional disruption.
- Serve as the operational lead for the classroom technology support team by assigning work, coordinating schedules, and supporting staff onboarding.
- Provide training and one-on-one support to faculty and staff on the effective use of classroom technology.
- Develop and maintain user guides, standard operating procedures, and internal technical documentation.
- Assist with technology refreshes, equipment replacement planning, and the installation of new instructional systems.
- Maintain accurate inventory and service records for all classroom technology assets and repair parts.
Requirements
- Knowledge of classroom A/V systems, instructional presentation technologies, and classroom computers.
- Proficiency in methods used to maintain, repair, install, and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to remain professional in time-sensitive settings.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Ability to coordinate multiple requests, prioritize operational needs, and adapt to changing schedules.
- Physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally, and up to 60 lbs with a team lift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of increasing responsibility in classroom technology support.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in classroom technology design.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory leadership experience.
