About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert Federal position classification and position management support, including PD development and desk audits.
  • Determine appropriate pay systems, occupational groupings, titles, series, and grades for Federal positions.
  • Evaluate complex professional, technical, and administrative positions using cross-series comparisons and classification by analogy.
  • Conduct position and organizational evaluations to support effective organizational design and management.
  • Provide technical advice and training to managers, supervisors, and HR staff regarding classification actions and workforce impacts.
  • Analyze complex classification issues and develop well-supported solutions in accordance with Federal laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting Federal human resources programs.
  • Direct expertise in Federal position classification and position management.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal classification principles, standards, and HR regulations.
  • Ability to work onsite in Arlington, VA during core business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of basic and advanced Federal position classification and position management training.
  • Prior experience supporting Department-level or large Federal agency HR classification programs.
  • Experience conducting desk audits, organizational evaluations, or classification appeals.
