Senior Claims Representative, WC

Responsibilities

• Manage new workers' compensation claim assignments from inception to resolution
• Conduct thorough investigations by interviewing claimants, witnesses, physicians, and attorneys
• Evaluate facts to determine liability and company obligations under policy contracts
• Establish and manage claim reserves within authorized limits
• Manage litigation files and assist attorneys in preparing cases for trial
• Settle claims promptly and equitably while obtaining necessary releases and agreements
• Maintain strong working relationships with agents, underwriters, and other stakeholders
• Administer benefits in a timely manner to minimize current and future risk exposure

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience
• An applicable resident or designated home state adjuster's license (required)
• Strong technical knowledge of workers' compensation claims and legal principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to manage priorities and allocate resources effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of claims handling experience
• Experience with workers' compensation products in DE, NJ, NY, or PA
• Professional insurance designations such as AIC, ARM, or AICPCU
• Advanced degree in a relevant field
