Senior Claims Representative, WC

Responsibilities

• Investigate workers' compensation claims to determine the extent of injury and manage cases effectively
• Establish accurate financial reserves and identify short-term and long-term financial exposures
• Utilize medical cost containment measures to control loss dollar pay-outs
• Develop and implement strategies to manage claims through to successful conclusion
• Ensure compliance with all statutory reporting and licensing requirements across multiple jurisdictions
• Calculate and issue accurate benefit payments to injured workers, medical providers, and vendors
• Maintain clear and concise documentation of all investigations, activities, and plans within the claim system
• Provide superior customer service by responding to inquiries accurately and in a timely manner

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in managing workers' compensation claims investigation and adjusting
• In-depth knowledge of workers' compensation laws, procedures, and applicable state/local legislation
• Ability to work independently and manage a pending caseload effectively
• Successful completion of a college degree or equivalent practical work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a Third Party Administrator (TPA) environment
• Professional designations such as AIC or CPCU
