Senior Claims Representative

Responsibilities

• Strategically manage claims and claim-related issues to cost-effective resolution
• Investigate accident circumstances, determine compensability, and identify red flag issues
• Proactively manage open claims including medical case management, disability, and litigation
• Coordinate resources including legal, medical, and safety consultants
• Facilitate early return to work for injured workers
• Negotiate settlements with injured workers or legal counsel
• Provide settlement and reserve authority to level 1 and 2 claims representatives
• Set and maintain accurate reserves by reviewing medical records and predicting future treatment costs
• Serve as a resource and mentor to junior claims representatives

Requirements

• 3 or more years of experience managing indemnity workers’ compensation claims
• Ability to apply Colorado jurisdictional requirements
• Proficiency in litigation management and claim resolution/settlement
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and a large workload
• Strong negotiation and strategic thinking skills
