Senior Claims Representative, AGL

Responsibilities

• Investigate and settle Auto, General & Liability (AGL) claims promptly and equitably.
• Review claim and policy information to determine the extent of the company's obligation to the insured.
• Conduct interviews and obtain statements from insureds, claimants, witnesses, physicians, and attorneys.
• Evaluate facts to determine liability and prepare detailed investigation reports.
• Set reserves within established authority limits and recommend necessary changes to the Team Leader.
• Manage the settlement process, including obtaining releases and issuing payments.
• Communicate claim denials or status updates to claimants, insureds, and legal representatives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of claims handling experience specifically in Auto and General Liability.
• Valid state adjuster license (or ability to obtain one; ESIS provides support for licensing exams).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of insurance coverages and applicable legal principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a Third Party Administrator (TPA) environment.
• Knowledge of auto liability cost containment programs.
• Proven account management skills.
