Senior Claims Representative, AGL

Responsibilities

• Investigate and settle Auto, General & Liability (AGL) claims promptly and equitably under limited supervision
• Review claim and policy information to determine the extent of the policy's obligation to the insured
• Contact and interview insureds, claimants, witnesses, physicians, attorneys, and police officers to secure necessary information
• Evaluate investigation facts to determine liability and company obligations
• Set reserves within authority limits and recommend changes to the Team Leader
• Prepare detailed reports on investigations, settlements, and claim denials
• Obtain releases, proofs of loss, or compensation agreements and issue payments
• Assist the Team Leader in developing improved methods for handling claims

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of claims handling experience specifically in Auto and General Liability
• Valid state adjuster license (or ability to obtain one; ESIS provides support for licensing exams)
• Strong knowledge of insurance coverages and applicable legal principles
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in a TPA (Third Party Administrator) environment is strongly preferred
