Senior Claims Representative, AGL

Responsibilities

• Investigate and settle commercial automobile and general liability claims promptly and equitably
• Review claim and policy information to determine the extent of the policy's obligation
• Interview and obtain statements from insureds, claimants, witnesses, physicians, and attorneys
• Evaluate facts to determine liability and company obligation under the policy contract
• Set reserves within authority limits and recommend changes to the Team Leader
• Prepare investigation reports, settlement documents, and claim denials
• Obtain releases, proofs of loss, or compensation agreements

Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience handling claims
• Authoritative technical knowledge of claims handling and terminology
• Superior negotiation and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of applicable state and local laws related to the line of business
• Ability to work independently with limited direction
• Superior customer service skills
