Senior Claims Examiner, P&C

Responsibilities

• Process new marine claims in accordance with best practices, SOPs, and Letters of Authority
• Appoint marine surveyors, adjusters, and experts to assist in claim investigations
• Ensure prompt claim registration, file creation, and reserve management within internal systems
• Monitor claim progress by following up on preliminary, status, and final reports
• Communicate claim decisions, including offers and denials, to insured parties and intermediaries
• Manage complaints and disputes to identify and reduce recurring service issues
• Handle inquiries from claimants, business units, and external intermediaries
• Prepare periodic and ad hoc data reports, including large loss and quarterly reports
• Manage vendors to ensure compliance with service standards and identify potential fraud

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience specifically handling Marine claims
• University degree
• Professional insurance qualifications
