Senior Civil/Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design concrete and steel structural elements including substation structures, pipe racks, and foundations
• Manage E-House design and installation including structural framing
• Support RFPs and bid submissions by preparing engineering hour estimates and material take-offs
• Prepare and review fabrication and shop drawings
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and designers
• Provide engineering support during construction and installation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cost-effective designs
• Participate in client meetings to facilitate solutions to design challenges

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in civil and structural engineering
• Professional engineering status (P.Eng) in Alberta or another province
• Hands-on experience with Canadian design codes
• Proficiency in S-Frame, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
• Familiarity with CSA, NBC, and provincial building codes
• Industrial Canadian experience required
• Ability to travel to client sites and project locations as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) industry
• Working knowledge of Microstation
