Senior Civil Technologist

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications from conceptual through as-built stages
• Develop and model roadway, grading, and public utility designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Infraworks, or Microstation
• Coordinate designs for large-scale, multidisciplinary transportation projects
• Provide mentorship, technical direction, and QA/QC support to intermediate and junior design staff
• Perform engineering calculations, including 3D roadway design geometry and quantities
• Audit and enforce project CADD standards and maintain digital file databases
• Communicate effectively with staff, consultants, and clients

Requirements

• Civil Engineering Technology diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution
• 10+ years of AutoCAD Civil 3D design experience in an engineering consulting environment
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Working knowledge of TAC, MUTCD, and Transport Canada standards
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word and Excel)
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• C.E.T. certification or equivalent
• Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling)
• Proficiency in Microstation
• Experience mentoring, coaching, and training technical staff
