Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process including takeoffs, pricing, vendor coordination, and bid submissions
• Manage and track quote performance, including conversion rates, profitability, and award analysis
• Identify and pursue new project opportunities through tenders and client relationships
• Collaborate with leadership to determine project selection and pricing strategies
• Establish and maintain pricing matrices for estimating sheets
• Review invitations to tender and posting boards such as VRCA and BCBid
• Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and tracking systems
• Support scheduling, workload planning, and resource allocation
• Build and maintain strong client, vendor, and subcontractor relationships
• Participate in Pre-Award Meetings and Divisional Crossover

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent
• 3–5+ years of civil estimating experience, preferably in earthworks, excavation, or utilities
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and MS Project
• Solid understanding of budgeting, job costing, and financial reporting principles
• Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal communication skills
