Senior Civil Engineer - Hydraulic

Responsibilities

• Provide design support and guidance for schemes to ensure all designs are fit for purpose and meet current legislation and standards
• Collaborate with commercial, operational, and construction teams to develop efficient, practical, and safe solutions
• Engage positively with clients, managing relationships and adopting a one-team approach
• Manage the interfaces and integration of civil design with other disciplines and produce necessary documentation
• Act as a technical checker on project documents and undertake technical reviews across teams
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, including standard designs, sustainable solutions, and digital tools
• Undertake site reviews to ensure buildability and integration within existing systems
• Support the development of the civil engineering team through coaching and mentoring

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Chartership (CEng) with a relevant Engineering Institution
• Proven experience delivering high-quality outputs in accordance with design, quality, and safety standards
• Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and stakeholders
• A methodical approach to problem-solving
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the operational region
