Senior Civil Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee A&E designs and monitor progress and work quality
• Perform inspections on completed project work and equipment installations to capture Real Property data
• Interpret construction and engineering contract drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with initial designs
• Provide scope definition, specifications, studies, and budgeting for civil engineering project proposals
• Conduct technical reviews of Military Construction (MILCON) and Unspecified Minor Military Construction (UMMC) projects
• Coordinate with electrical, structural, and mechanical engineers during the design phase
• Perform root cause analysis on systems failing prematurely or systemically
• Review AF Form 332 work request submissions for validity and practicality

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-certified program
• 1-3 years of experience in Civil Engineering programs
• Ability to identify common site architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection system components
• Experience planning or performing facility maintenance, improvements, or repairs
• U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

• EIT or PE certification
• Experience working with the Air Force or Department of Defense (DOD)
