About the Company
Antares is on a mission to make clean energy abundant from Earth to the Asteroid Belt by building mass-producible, inherently safe, deployable microreactors for terrestrial, underwater, and space applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead civil engineering activities supporting the deployment of the Antares R1 microreactor
- Evaluate prospective deployment sites for geotechnical, grading, drainage, and utility conditions
- Develop standardized site layouts and modular civil infrastructure for repeatable deployment
- Design site grading, drainage systems, stormwater management, and access roads
- Coordinate geotechnical investigations and work with structural engineers on foundations and reinforced concrete structures
- Support transportation planning, heavy-haul logistics, and construction sequencing
- Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, design drawings, and construction packages
- Interface with customers, EPC contractors, and regulatory organizations
- Develop engineering standards and best practices to improve deployment speed and quality
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in civil engineering for industrial, power, energy, or defense projects
- Experience with site development including grading, drainage, and utilities
- Experience developing engineering drawings and construction documents
- Ability to travel up to 30% to customer and deployment locations
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Experience supporting nuclear facilities, military installations, or energy infrastructure
- Experience with geotechnical engineering and foundation design
- Knowledge of transportation planning for oversized and heavy equipment
- Familiarity with DOE, NRC, or Department of Defense engineering requirements
