About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide a high standard of care and support to vulnerable young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Demonstrate positive attitudes, patience, understanding, and respect when caring for children and young people
- Maintain a flexible, caring, and sensitive approach to service delivery, respecting individual diversity
- Build strong working relationships with children, young people, and external agencies
- Create positive relationships with the children, meeting their needs and safeguarding them at all times
- Develop timetables, set boundaries, and establish clear expectations for young people
- Ensure consistency and demonstrate strong organisational skills in all aspects of care and support
Requirements
- Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare (or working towards it)
- Knowledge of Children’s Homes regulations (2015) and quality standards
- Ideally 1 year of experience within children’s residential homes
- Full UK driving licence
