Senior Children's Residential Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of care and support to vulnerable young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
• Demonstrate positive attitudes, patience, understanding, and respect when caring for children and young people
• Maintain a flexible, caring, and sensitive approach to service delivery, respecting individual diversity
• Build strong working relationships with children, young people, and external agencies
• Create positive relationships with the children, meeting their needs and safeguarding them at all times
• Develop timetables, set boundaries, and establish clear expectations for young people
• Ensure consistency and demonstrate strong organisational skills in all aspects of care and support

Requirements

• Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare (or working towards it)
• Knowledge of Children’s Homes regulations (2015) and quality standards
• Ideally 1 year of experience within children’s residential homes
• Full UK driving licence
