Senior Chemist

Responsibilities

• Lead the synthesis, purification, and analysis of novel semiconductor materials and deposition precursor molecules from gram to kilogram scale
• Develop novel and scalable synthetic processes and new analytical methodologies
• Act as the lead chemist in cross-functional product development core teams
• Create intellectual property and complete product development data packages for transfer to Engineering and Production
• Interface with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Safety, Quality, and Manufacturing to move products to market
• Mentor and train new chemists and technicians
• Provide chemistry support related to quality, safety, or manufacturing issues

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry
• 5 years of experience in analytical method development for novel products
• Experience with the synthesis and purification of air/moisture sensitive compounds
• Proficiency with analytical instrumentation including NMR, UV, GC, MS, and FTIR
• Experience operating various vacuum systems and Schlenk techniques
• Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally
