Senior Chemical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic chemical engineering projects to design, develop, and scale advanced materials and manufacturing processes for athletic footwear.
• Serve as a functional expert in bottom component technology during product development, identifying risks and validating new technologies.
• Apply chemical and process engineering expertise to design and scale new products and manufacturing processes.
• Support and grow manufacturing partner capabilities, including guiding new facility ramp-ups to ensure consistent quality.
• Collaborate with Nike leadership and factory teams to implement best practices across manufacturing locations.
• Use data-driven insights to solve complex challenges and drive corrective actions across development and production.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in chemical engineering, preferably in footwear or adjacent industries (e.g., tires, polyurethane, plastics).
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymers, or a related field.
• Proficiency with data tools such as JMP, Minitab, Statistica, Excel, and DOE.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in both Korean and English.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and work effectively across diverse, cross-functional teams.
