Responsibilities

• Develop, own, and iterate on mathematical models to predict and analyze fluid system behavior, including shunt current and dynamic fluid level models
• Validate models against experimental data and perform root cause analysis to drive model improvements
• Establish processes and define system requirements to maintain chemical specifications throughout the battery's service lifetime
• Execute chemistry and mechanical design trades using modeling to optimize fluid handling components
• Provide high-quality data analysis and design trades

Requirements

• PhD or MS with 3+ years of professional experience in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field
• Expertise in fluid mechanics, fluid handling, and sensor selection
• Experience leading engineering verification tests and root cause analysis (RCA)
• Proven experience addressing model-to-data gaps
• Demonstrated experience defining engineering requirements
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
