Responsibilities
- Perform complex analyses of coupled fluid-heat transfer via CFD
- Solve pipe network flow, heat transfer, and thermodynamics challenges
- Frame analysis results within the context of aircraft design and sizing
- Prepare detailed test plans
- Document analysis, ground, and flight test results
- Write and update Engineering practice documents
Requirements
- Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 5 to 8 years of experience in internal flow CFD analysis
- Proficiency with Star-CCM+ and Ansys Fluent
- Knowledge of SpaceClaim and SimCenter3D
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Willingness to travel for short-term assignments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with inlet and outlet design and analysis
- Programming skills in Python, C++, C#, Visual Basic, or Fortran
- Familiarity with Unix Operating Systems and interfacing with HPC
- Experience with finite element analyses
