Senior CFD Engineer

PhysicsX is a deep-tech company with roots in numerical physics and Formula One, dedicated to accelerating hardware innovation at the speed of software. We are building an AI-driven simulation software stack for engineering and manufacturing across advanced industries.

Responsibilities

• Build complex multi-physics models from geometry clean-up and meshing to simulation and post-processing
• Build robust parametric CAD models coupled with simulation pipeline automation for design optimization
• Partner with customers to address complex engineering challenges through CAE & AI solutions
• Generate high-quality simulation datasets for training Machine/Deep Learning models
• Accelerate high-fidelity modelling using cloud platforms and on-premise HPC resources
• Improve engineering best practices to support the development of Deep Learning surrogates
• Provide project leadership and mentor junior colleagues
• Travel globally up to 2–3 weeks per quarter to work on-site with customers

Requirements

• 3-5 years of industry experience (post Masters or PhD) in a commercial, non-research environment
• Deep expertise in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and multiphase modelling
• Proficiency in Star-CCM+, OpenFOAM, or Fluent
• Ability to automate CFD tools to create scalable optimisation workflows
• Experience in parametric CAD modelling (NX or CATIA)
• Coding skills in Python or Java
• Ability to set up CFD simulations independently and interpret complex results
