Senior Certification Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee the identification, analysis, and assessment of regulatory and contractual compliance for aerospace systems, products, and services
• Lead collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to define, validate, and integrate airworthiness and regulatory compliance requirements
• Review highly complex regulatory and certification technical data for completeness and alignment with applicable requirements
• Oversee the development of compliance statements for the airworthiness of aerospace systems and products
• Advise on process improvements and lead engagement with regulators to shape and influence certification strategies
• Provide advanced technical consultation across the enterprise on aerospace regulatory compliance projects
• Participate in industry standards development and benchmarking to inform innovative solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field
• 9+ years of related work experience in an aerospace environment
• Experience working directly with the FAA and/or ODA on Type Certification projects
• Proven experience developing and contributing to processes, policies, and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• 14+ years of related work experience
• Experience as a Design Approval Engineer (DAE)
• Experience working with DCCS (Design Change Classification System)
• Experience implementing processes compliant with airplane or FAA certification standards
• Experience working with 14 CFR Part 25 regulations
• Experience developing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and managing requirements processes
