Senior CERT Specialist

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical escalation point for high-profile cybersecurity incidents
• Lead complex incident response engagements end-to-end across City departments and external partners
• Provide technical mentorship, peer review, and training to CERT Specialists
• Perform memory, network, disk, and cloud forensics across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments
• Devise and validate remediation strategies to contain and eradicate threats
• Design and build cyber-incident detection tools, automation, and response capabilities
• Lead and facilitate cyber tabletop exercises to identify capability gaps
• Participate in an on-call rotation for 24/7 operational readiness

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the position
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Advanced-level expertise in Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR)
• Experience with log, file, and malware analysis
