Senior Central Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure environments
• Design and manage infrastructure modernization initiatives including CI/CD, IaC, K8s, and AI
• Lead the integration of legacy systems into modern, cloud-native environments
• Craft comprehensive disaster recovery strategies and engineer production-grade solutions
• Serve as a technical focal point for troubleshooting infrastructure bottlenecks across Linux and Windows
• Ensure cloud environments meet PCI and SOC2 security and compliance frameworks
• Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and champion blameless postmortems
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience (8+ years)
• Deep production experience with AWS, Terraform, Atmos, and Python (or Bash/Go)
• Expertise with modern observability stacks like Datadog (APM, logs, metrics)
• Experience with service mesh (Envoy/Istio) and Kubernetes ingress
• Advanced operational knowledge of Kubernetes/EKS and Helm
• Experience with secrets management (Infisical, Vault, or AWS Secrets Manager) in PCI/SOC2 contexts
• Experience with AWS MSK (Kafka) and SQL/NoSQL managed databases like Amazon Aurora
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security protocols, and firewalls
• Expert competency in managing and troubleshooting Linux and Windows server environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in high-growth tech start-ups or fast-paced corporate engineering environments
