About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture autologous and allogeneic cell and gene therapy products using aseptic techniques according to SOPs and clinical trial guidance.
  • Perform cell and gene therapy product manufacturing under GXP (GLP, GTP, GMP, GDP) guidelines to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct quality control testing using immunological and cell biological techniques.
  • Lead process development, assay optimization, validation, and technology transfer from lab bench to clinical manufacturing.
  • Provide technical and administrative oversight to personnel performing routine and specialized analyses.
  • Assist in department management, including overseeing day-to-day operations, equipment maintenance, and environmental monitoring.
  • Document processing records, generate reports, and assist in inspections/audits from the FDA and other regulatory agencies.
  • Perform preclinical research projects utilizing techniques such as cell culture, lentivirus transduction, qPCR, and flow cytometry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Proficiency with aseptic techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of GXP guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in a related scientific field.
  • Experience in a cellular therapy laboratory, clinical hematology, or blood bank setting.
  • Expertise in bone marrow/stem cell processing, apheresis, or cell culture.
  • Experience with the isolation and expansion of immune cell populations (e.g., T-cells, NK cells, monocytes).
  • Experience with characterization assays such as flow cytometry, ELISA, and functional assays.
