Senior CEI Inspector

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent complex inspections and supervise lower-level inspectors for roadway and structure construction
• Perform contract administration duties including field measurements and documentation
• Participate in Concept Meetings, Field Plan Reviews, and CPM schedule reviews
• Perform project engineering duties for smaller construction projects
• Manage and inspect local let projects
• Verify invoiced work and manage project funding allocations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 4+ years of progressive transportation technician experience
• Knowledge of highway construction materials, methods, and equipment
• Proficiency in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Valid driver's license for Georgia
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365

Preferred Qualifications

• GDOT WECS certification
• GDOT Field Concrete Technician Certification
• GSWCC Level 1a (Erosion Control)
• Passing scores on GDOT Construction Engineering Inspection Training tests
