Senior Category Manager

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the annual category strategy to align with business objectives
• Drive category revenue growth, profitability, and commercial performance
• Analyze customer behavior, market trends, and competitor activity for actionable insights
• Develop pricing recommendations and support optimization efforts
• Create and execute promotional and campaign plans to drive engagement
• Optimize category merchandising, product visibility, and customer journeys
• Partner with Marketing, CRM, Vendor Management, and Pricing teams
• Drive growth of Own Brand products through targeted initiatives
• Coach and support junior team members

Requirements

• Several years of experience in Category Management, Buying, or Merchandising
• Experience in e-commerce, retail, FMCG, or consumer goods
• Proven track record of driving category growth and profitability
• Strong analytical skills and data interpretation abilities
• Experience managing pricing, promotions, or assortment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent English and German (minimum B1 level)
• AI-native mindset for workflow efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an international or matrix organization
• Experience managing large or strategic product categories
• Experience coaching or mentoring colleagues
• Knowledge of digital merchandising and conversion optimization
• Experience with business intelligence and analytics tools
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or related field
