Senior Category Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category sourcing strategies for commodities including lumber, hardware, fasteners, windows, doors, and resale items.
• Lead supplier selection and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing, supply continuity, and cost consistency.
• Partner with Field Operations to build and manage a dependable network of site contractors and crane operators.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and Finance to align material availability with project schedules.
• Drive improvements in purchasing operations and visibility using SAP and other digital procurement tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field with 10+ years of experience (or a Master's degree with 8+ years of experience).
• 8+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• 8+ years of experience within the construction industry (residential production, commercial construction, or lumberyard operations).
• Proven expertise in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable procurement recommendations.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills to work across engineering, finance, and operations teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the prefabrication industry.
• Proficiency with SAP and digital procurement systems.
