About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies for plastic components and materials, including resins, injection-molded parts, and labware.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for plastics across the diagnostics portfolio and laboratory operations.
- Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to support component design, material selection, and supplier qualification.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to meet cost savings, risk mitigation, and sustainability objectives.
- Drive aggressive savings initiatives and manage the procurement savings pipeline.
- Monitor external market trends to identify new opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Lead various sourcing projects and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of industry experience in sourcing, supply chain, or procurement.
- Proven experience in developing and executing category management strategies.
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiation and contract management, including risk mitigation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working within ERP systems, such as SAP.
- Experience in organizational sourcing transformation or change management.
- Professional working knowledge of 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, and/or cGMP environments.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
