Senior Category Manager - Offsite & Resilient Solutions

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category sourcing strategies for commodities including lumber, hardware, fasteners, windows, doors, and resale items.
• Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to ensure competitive pricing, cost consistency, and accountability.
• Partner with Field Operations to source and structure a dependable network of site contractors and crane operators.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Finance to ensure supply continuity and alignment with project schedules.
• Drive the development of scalable procurement processes and digital tools, including SAP, to improve visibility and efficiency.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management.
• 8+ years of experience in the construction industry (residential production, commercial construction, or lumberyard operations).
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Strong contract management and supplier relationship skills.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills to work across engineering, operations, and finance teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the prefabrication industry.
• Proficiency with SAP and other digital procurement tools.
• Experience managing contractor networks and crane operator services.
