Senior Caretaker

Responsibilities

• Deliver hard and soft facility services, including programmed and reactive maintenance, security, and access control
• Manage subcontractors, site operations, waste and pest services, and community use
• Oversee site access, security, keys, deliveries, and traffic/parking management
• Build strong client relationships and provide high-quality customer service to the College leadership team
• Monitor budgets, control costs, and support asset and maintenance planning
• Lead and support staff to ensure effective performance and safe work practices

Requirements

• Ability to supply a current National Police Clearance and a Working with Children Check
• Trade background (e.g., handyman, Trade Assistant, or similar) with strong maintenance experience
• Proven experience managing a service delivery team and coordinating subcontractors
• Sound knowledge of WHS, Australian Standards, OH&S principles, and building compliance
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of fiscal management for site operations
• Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
