Senior CAD Drafter-Designer

Responsibilities

• Generate detailed 2D and 3D models and technical drawings using AutoCAD software
• Produce and modify standard layouts, assemblies, and drawings for new and existing projects
• Work from product specifications and manufacturing quotes to guide design decisions
• Modify or adjust models according to defined specifications and engineering concepts
• Meet project deadlines and timelines for all drawing submittals
• Collaborate with shop personnel to incorporate design changes and updates
• Compile Bill of Materials (BOM) and maintain required technical documentation and records

Requirements

• Associate degree or certificate in drafting or a related field
• 3+ years of mechanical drafting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Strong proficiency in MS Word and Excel
• Advanced blueprint reading and mathematical calculation skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude and logical problem-solving skills
• Ability to work attentively and efficiently to produce high-quality work

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes and tools
• Basic knowledge of electrical and software systems
