Senior Buyer – Strategic Sourcing

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing for specialized commodities including PCB components, CNC-machined parts, RF antennas, and ruggedized cables
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business needs and production schedules
• Build and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost compliance
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms
• Monitor market trends and material risks to develop mitigation plans
• Drive supplier performance through KPIs and scorecards
• Partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and finance teams
• Prepare and execute purchase orders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
• 7–10 years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience in electronics, defense, or aerospace
• Proven experience sourcing technical or engineered products
• Strong experience in supplier negotiations and relationship management
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems
• Advanced Excel skills
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in supply chain, business, or engineering
• APICS CPIM, CPSM, CPM, or similar professional certification
• Experience in an electronics CM or OEM environment
