Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery requirements
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to ensure a diversified supply base
• Negotiate terms, conditions, pricing, and contracts to achieve cost-effective agreements
• Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Monitor inventory levels to support production schedules while minimizing excess
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks
• Ensure procurement activities adhere to government regulations and industry standards
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and logistics teams
• Implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
• Experience in procurement and supplier management
• Experience in defense or maritime industry preferred
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools
• Must be a U.S. Person (Citizen, Green Card holder, or protected class)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with government procurement regulations such as FAR or DFAR
