Senior Buyer/Planner

Responsibilities

• Lead production and materials planning activities to support customer delivery and operational performance
• Manage inventory levels, forecasts, production schedules, and material availability through ERP/MRP systems
• Coordinate with operations, production, customer service, and suppliers to resolve shortages and scheduling challenges
• Support purchasing activities including purchase orders, supplier communication, and delivery management
• Analyze planning and inventory data to improve schedule accuracy and material flow
• Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field
• 4 to 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing supply chain role (Senior Planner, Materials Planner, Buyer, etc.)
• Strong expertise in production planning, materials planning, inventory control, and forecasting
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working across cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• APICS/CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, or related professional certification
• Experience in automotive, plastics, injection molding, or engineered manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and inventory optimization practices
• Advanced experience with supply chain analytics
