Senior Buyer

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning and procurement of production, MRO, and NPI materials within SMT manufacturing and box build environments
• Plan material purchases based on MRP requirements to ensure on-time delivery for production and requisition start dates
• Negotiate cost and lead time reductions for assigned commodities to meet pricing and cost-savings objectives
• Manage supplier issues, including material discrepancies in quality, quantity, and price
• Work closely with Program Managers, Engineers, and Supplier Quality to resolve MRB and RMA issues
• Implement revisions and part changes within the ECO process
• Develop and implement inventory reduction strategies and manage to inventory turns/model budgets
• Create ad-hoc material management reports and maintain tracking metrics to identify improvement opportunities

Requirements

• 8+ years of purchasing experience specifically in electronic components for PCB assemblies
• Proven experience with made-to-print items, raw PCB procurement, and electronic components
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (INFOR Syteline preferred)
• Must be a US Person as defined in 22 CFR Part 120.15 due to ITAR controlled technical data
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Melbourne, FL

Preferred Qualifications

• APICS CPIM or other relevant purchasing certification
• Experience with ISO certification environments
