Senior Buyer

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of international suppliers
• Oversee buying responsibilities across key wine and spirits regions
• Collaborate with suppliers to source products that align with quality standards and commercial objectives
• Create, plan, and execute commercially compelling customer offers
• Write and proofread offer copy to a high editorial standard
• Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Logistics, and Finance teams
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and competitor activity to inform strategy
• Maintain accurate records and handle administrative processes with high attention to detail

Requirements

• Proven experience in a buying role within the wine trade
• Strong product knowledge of both European and New World wine regions
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong written communication skills for producing polished and engaging copy
• High level of attention to detail regarding proofreading and commercial accuracy
• Confident interpersonal skills for building internal and external relationships
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance quality with brand positioning

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in French or other languages is advantageous
